Well, we survived and we had fun. We got back last week from our first family trip. We went to California for a week. We recruited my parents (Nana and Papa) to go with us. We knew that we could not handle it on our own. We started off in Napa for Jeff's step brother Jeff's wedding. Yes, that is right Jeff has a brother named Jeff and his wife's name is Tara. (if only her name was Sarah:) After the wedding in Napa we head down to San Diego for a few days.
We took about 500 pictures during our trip so I a going to try and post a few over the next few days. Our flight out to Napa was OK. It could have been better but it could have been a lot worse. Avery screamed about 15 minutes on the second flight, I dropped her socks in the toilet on the airplane, and Harrison did everything he could to resist taking a nap:( My mom (Nana) got her hand stuck in a folded down seat in our rented mini van and she got car sick (throwing up)during our drive from San Fransisco to Napa. It should of taken us 45 minutes to get to Napa but it took us 2 1/2 hours in stop and go traffic. At this point in our trip we were really thinking that we were crazy to take 2 kids under the age of 2 on a trip (even though we had 4 adults).

This is what we looked like in the airport. 1 double stroller, 2 car sets, 1 car seat base, 2 diaper bags, 1 camera bag, 1 portable DVD player, 1 bag of cameras, 1 boppy pillow, Jeff's backpack, and my mom had a bag. Don't forget that we also had 5 pieces of luggage.

I feel ya!! We did that when Treyson was 8 weeks old to San Antonio. It was ridiculous considering the amount of stuff we lugged through the airport--but they require so much!
I'm so glad you took your parents along for 4 extra hands!!
I am glad your trip went well! We were thinking and praying for you. Nothing is worse then a crying baby on a plane or a car. Oh to enjoy those days of flying and driving by yourself :)
