We have been using our Time Out mat for about 2 weeks now and it is going really good. Harrison calls it the SIT DOWN. He has probably had to use it 3 or 4 times. (Harrison is really a good kid and probably does not even need it. Now, Avery on the other hand!!! just kidding:)
How we are using it: He gets a warning to stop a behavior, then he gets told that he can stop the behavior or sit in time out, if he has not stopped then he sits on the mat for 2 minutes. He normally stops at step 2.
Here are some pictures of the first time Harrison used the Time Out mat. Harrison had gotten into a bad habit of running away from us. This day we kept running away from me when it was time to get dress.
