Our First Blog

Welcome to our blog! We have family and friends all over the country, so we thought this might be a good way for us to keep those close to us up-to-date with the latest happenings in our world. Most importantly, this will allow friends and family to watch Harrison grow! (Thanks Amy and Patrick for the idea, we enjoy keeping up with Deacon through your bog...)

Sarah and I have been married for six, blissful years today! Wow...time has flown by. I still work for Church & Dwight, managing their household cleaner business at Wal-Mart. Although it keeps me pretty busy, and at times stressed out, I enjoy it. Sarah has been teaching kindergarten for the past five years; however, her motherly instincts pulled on her heart and she decided to make a change. Next year she will be doing remediation for her school, which is working in small groups with struggling kindergarten and first graders. This is great for her because she still gets to do what she loves while getting to stay home part time to help Harrison grow into a smart and healthy little man.

When we aren't working or feeding, changing, picking up after, or playing with Harrison, we generally lay pretty low. We try to spend as much time as we can on the lake with our friends, although haven't spent as much as we would like so far this season. Hopefully it will get better...

Lexie and Cooper, our two ornery Boston Terriers, are still good. Both are heathly and vibrant, although neither get the attention they once did. They love Harrison and he absolutely loves them. They just welcomed him right into the family!

Now, on to why you're really here...Harrison! Named after my late grandfather Harry and Sarah's dad Randall, Harrison Randall joined us on 10/26/07 (nearly 9 months ago). He is such an amazing kid that has enriched our lives in a fashion you can't really put into words. Cliche? Mabye, but it is true. We have been blessed with a healthy, happy, & smart little boy that radiates curiosity and joy every minute of the day (well...except for when he is really hungry or tired, but hey...who does when they're tired or hungry?). He instanly wipes away stresses of the day with one little grin. You know, it is really amazing how fast little ones change. It literally feels like if you blink, you will miss something! Today, he is crawling, clapping, dancing, and mumbling dada and yeah, but It was only a couple of months ago he was just starting to sit up on his own.
To get you caught up, here is a slideshow of Harrison pictures from day one to present.
Here is a video taken a month ago that captures Harrison's love for bath time.
